A greatly improved range of grant support is now on offer by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), known as The Better Energy Home Scheme (BEH), to help with the cost to make your home more energy sufficient.

You have the option to proceed with one or several upgrade measures, but prior to the commencement of works:

• Choose your registered contractor and your registered Technical Advisor (only for heat pumps required).
• Apply for the grant and accept your approved grant offer.
• Complete the works on your home within 8 months from the date of the grant offer.
• Get a registered BER Assessor for post-works BER assessment and BER Certificate.

A NEW National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme, called One Stop Shops (OSS), offers a grant for a full renovation of your home and providing increased grant levels of up to 50% of the cost of a typical deep retrofit to a B2 BER standard. One Stop Shops will offer a start-to-finish project management service, including access to financing, for home energy upgrades.
